Please read carefully, as failure to comply may result in surcharges or immediate banning.
Please ensure everyone invited to the studio knows the buzzer number and unit number. This cannot be stressed enough. V1 is on the third floor in unit 324 and V2 is on the second floor in unit 226.
There will be a maximum of two photographers per single photo shoot in the studio, there is no group shooting permitted.
Be courteous to other residents of our building. Any complaints made during your booking will also result in an immediate banning.
Do not ask a resident to let you in to the lobby. You have to buzz the studio. They will not let you in.
There is no early entry unless otherwise specified.
Overtime is charged in intervals of 1/2 hours and starts 15 minutes after bookings scheduled end- no exceptions.
Please, no more than 12 people (v1) and 8 people (v2) at a time. (Penalty of $50).
Please leave the space as you have found it.
Renter is fully responsible for all damaged property and equipment - which includes flooring and furnishings.
Please note there is a 24hr security camera in each studio, footage is not stored on a hard drive or anywhere locally, it self deletes every day. It is for liability, damage, injury and general security purposes only. If this is an issue in regards to your shoot please do not hesitate to speak with us about the matter.
If you would like to shoot in the hallways or other locations throughout the building, please clear with us in advance.
Absolutely no smoking or drinking alcohol.
Please inform us in advance if you are shooting a film/commercial production as our rates differ from standard photo rental rates.
There is ONE free parking spot available to renters. If any other spots are used by you or your clients, you will charged an additional $50.
The spot is located under the Eastern Ave. overpass, it is a fenced off area with a gravel ground, there are approximately 20 spots, please do not double park or block the drive-way leading to St. Lawrence street
There is paid street parking ($1.50/hour) between 9am - 6pm Monday-Saturday and FREE any other time
- If you require use of the freight elevator for gear loading, please let us know in advance so we can assist you.
In the instance that any piece of equipment or studio item belonging to Version1, Jon Simonassi, or Mark Matechuk is damaged by any person of the booking party the client must accept any additional charges incurred by V1 Studio, Jon Simonassi, or Mark Matechuk. Payment must be made immediately for the full repair cost of said damaged item.
Studio Managers do not assist in set up, but will show the renter how to use equipment.
In V1 studio there are 3 elinchrom strobes, wireless trigger, softbox, umbrella, beauty dish, light stands, grip stands, 5-in-1 reflector, RGB colour changing bulbs, hair-fan, extension cable, sand bags and 2 apple boxes. V1 NO LONGER PROVIDES BACKDROPS, PLEASE ASK IN ADVANCE IF YOU REQUIRE ONE.
In V2 studio there are 2 elinchrom strobes, wireless trigger, softbox, umbrella, 1 continuous film light, ladder, various coloured backdrops, light stands, 2 reflectors, reflector arm stand.
Equipment is available for rent in V1 studio, a list can be seen at http://www.version1.ca/equipment, please let us know in advance if you're like to secure anything for rent.
PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION
- Cancellation before the shoot day requires 72 hours notice otherwise 30% of total booking fee will be incurred.
- Cancellation that occurs within 24 hours of the booking time receives 75% of the booking fee.
- Soft holds (and any commercial hold) larger then a full day require a 25% deposit of total booking cost.
- Payment is made via CASH, or CREDIT once you arrive at the studio.
